Class Attainment

Class Attainment

This interactive report provides class teachers and senior leaders with instant information about a current class’s attainment, learning and coverage of the school’s curriculum.

You can look at current or previous learning and coverage, and drill down into each programme of study to see precisely where children need additional support or teaching needs strengthening.

This tool can also be used to add discrete attainments for single or multiple objectives.

Using the Class attainment report

Class attainments provides teachers with valuable additional information if they are using the lesson ‘Taught’ functionality on Maestro to record pupils’ end of lesson attainments.
You can select your class or cohort and the subjects you wish to view using the filters at the top of the page.

View by skills and core knowledge

On the left are all the objectives from our skills and knowledge framework for the chosen subject. The 'Coverage' column will show the percentage of the class that have been taught the objective and the 'Taught attainment' column shows the percentage score for how successful the class/cohort have been when being taught the objective.

Clicking "Report view" at the top allows you to order the pupils within the columns in different ways.

The coloured bars above each name provide a simple summary for each child, showing their assumed attainment of the objectives they have been taught once the teacher has recorded the lesson attainments.

Hover over the bars to bring up the Learning indicator for that pupil in that subject. This shows the figures of exactly how many objectives they have attained, partially attained and not attained. The percentage score will give an indication of each pupil’s success when being taught the objectives in the chosen subject.

Hover over each coloured bar to get a quick breakdown of how each pupil has achieved in relation to the specific objective.

By clicking on the 'Lessons' link, you are able to see all the lessons that have been recorded as taught for the child that covered the objective, when they were taught and by whom. By clicking on the '>' button you will the term the lesson was taught and the class the child was in at the time. You can then amend the attainments if required.
