Sharing planners

Sharing planners

This is useful for teachers who are job shares or use team planning, though it can also be used to see the planned lessons for each user. My planner is user specific but has options for teachers to share planning of lessons.

User view

When you first open the My planner page, you will automatically be defaulted to the ‘User’ setting. The ‘User’ view is useful for viewing an individual’s lessons and events that have been planned in.
  1. Go to the 'planners' section on the right hand side of the screen.
  2. Move the sliders on or off for each user you wish to view. Their lessons/events will appear in a different colour.
  3. Click on an event/lesson to view the content.
You can copy a colleague's events/lessons, which will add them to your own planner in order for you to edit them or track attainment. Just click on the event/lesson and select the Copy button.

IdeaYou can alter a user's colour by clicking on the pencil icon on the right-hand side of their name.

Class view

Selecting the ‘Class’ view will allow you to view the planners for all classes in the school, as well as the classes that you are assigned to. Class planners are useful if you have multiple teachers who work in one class, for example, a job share. This allows one of the teachers who is assigned to the class to add lessons to My planner but another teacher will then be able to record the lesson as 'Taught'.

  1. Go to 'Planners' on the right-hand side of the My planner page.
  2. Change the calendar mode to 'Class'. Move the sliders on or off for each class you wish to view.
  3. The lessons and events for the different classes will appear in different colours.
  4. Click on an event/lesson to view the content.

You can add attainments for lessons that have been planned by other users that are assigned to the same class as you (if attainments have not already been added for it) by clicking the lesson and recording attainments.
