Recording attainment through Class attainment

Recording attainment through Class attainment

Class attainment will allow you to record which skills and knowledge objectives have been taught and attained without being attributed to an actual lesson.

First, select the academic year, the class, cohort or group and the subject.

The year group filter will be automatically set to the age group of the children, but this can be changed if you have children at a level higher or lower than their cohort.

If you have a mixed age class, you may wish to create learning groups where the children in your class are separated into cohort groups so that you just have a single year group on screen.

This will show you which objectives from the Cornerstones knowledge and skills framework that has been assigned to the WMS.

Each knowledge and skill objective will then have an 'Add' button next to them.

To record the children’s attainment against a specific objective, click on the 'Add' button. Select the term that the objective was taught in.

All children will be automatically marked as ‘Attained’.  However, you can change the judgement of the whole class at once by opening the drop-down list and selecting the judgement that best fits your selected class, group or cohort.

You may then change the children’s attainment judgement on an individual basis by clicking on the judgement for each child.

Once you have recorded all the judgments you wish to record, click 'Save'.
