Monitor progress

Monitor progress

Progress is defined as the learning/development between two points in time. Monitor progress allows you to see the progress of a class, cohort, group or individual pupils between two different assessment points.

Create your progress report
Choose the two assessment points that you would like to view the progress between and select your class, cohort or group. Then select your AoLEs. You can choose multiple or single AoLEs as required.

The year group indicators will show which academic years your chosen assessment points for the class, cohort or group fall into.

You will then see how the children were assessed at the first assessment point and then at the second assessment point. A colour-coded progress arrow sits in between the two judgements.

  1. green arrow shows that the child has made consistent progress between the two assessment points, achieving the same teacher assessment judgement both times.
  2. blue up arrow shows that a child has made notable progress, achieving a higher teacher assessment judgement at the second assessment point than the first.
  3. An orange down arrow shows that a child has made inconsistent progress, achieving a lower teacher assessment judgement at the second assessment point than the first.
You can see an overview of the progress for the entire group using the progress bar in the top right corner. This will show you a breakdown of the percentages for the group to show the number of children who have made consistent, notable or inconsistent progress between the two assessment points.

If there isn’t any attainment data entered for a child at any of the assessment points, a ‘No-data’ message will show, and the percentage of missing data will be shown in grey on the progress bar.

You can filter the results by clicking on ‘Progress’ (above the colour-coded arrows) to quickly see who has made notable progress and who has made inconsistent progress. You can also filter by attributes to look into certain groups of children by clicking on the 'Filter results' toggle.
