Once a pupil report template has been created by an SLT/Maestro admin user, you can then generate your pupil reports and start to complete them as required. Depending on what has been included in the report template, you will be able to add a general comment about each child, individual subject comments and targets, the children's attendance data, and Headteacher comments alongside the children's teacher assessment judgements which come directly from the Maestro assessment system if you have been using it.
Generate reports
- Go to Pupil reports > Reports.
- Select the template and the class you’d like to use.
- You can either click 'Generate' next to the pupil’s name to create each report one by one, adding notes as you go, OR click the 'Generate all' button in the top right to create the report for each pupil, then edit each report to add your notes.
- Once generated, click on the settings icon next to a child's name, then select 'Edit'.
If you prefer to work on a single child's report, click Generate next to the child's name. If you prefer to work subject by subject across all children's reports, click Generate all
Report details
This tab will allow you to add the following information to your pupil report:
- Teacher name(s) is automatically populated with any teacher assigned to that class. This can be edited if required.
- Attendance can be added by the teacher as a percentage, text or number (if this has been added to the template).
- Class name is automatically populated with the assigned class name. This can be edited if required.
- Add note allows teachers to add an individual statement for the child. This could be a general comment or anything personal relating to the child.
AoLEs
- Each AoLE (selected on the template) will appear with a general notes box, plus any added custom boxes (that were created in Custom AoLE column on the report template).
- At the top right of each notes box is the assessment, any previous assessment and the progress for that AoLE. Teachers can add comments or copy and paste comments into each of the boxes.
- They can view or download the report at any time whilst editing or saving it and come back to it later.
- Once complete, the teacher should click 'Publish'. This will lock the report and prevent any further edits.
- Any published reports can be unlocked by a Maestro admin if required.
