Using the timetable is an easy way to record your children's attainment at the end of each lesson. Once you have taught a lesson for which you have set a date and start time, you can then record the lesson attainment.
To record the children's attainment after a lesson:
- Go to the timetable in the left-hand menu.
- Select the required lesson.
- Click'Taught' in the bottom left-hand corner.

On the screen that appears, you can see all the classes or learning groups that you are assigned to. Choose whether you want to assess the whole class or any specific learning groups that you have created by selecting them.
The class/group will automatically have Attained selected. By clicking on this, you can change the attainment for the whole class:

If the whole class was present and everyone had attained the objective, you can click on 'Save' and Maestro would record that attainment judgement for all children.
However, if you have added any LNF/DCF objectives, or if some children were absent for that lesson or didn’t fully attain the lesson objectives, click on 'Edit attainments' to load up the lesson’s attainment page.
All children are marked as Attained for the objectives that were taught as part of the lesson.
By clicking on the attained button at the top of each row, the attainment for the whole class may be changed for any of the objectives. For example, the pupils may not have attained the core knowledge, so by clicking at the top of a column, everyone's attainments can be changed at once.

The coloured circles will show what the children have attained on the last three occasions when they were taught this objective. If you click on the circles, you see a list of all the times that the objective has been taught, when it was taught and what the child attained.
However, individual pupils may be edited, if required, by clicking on the 'Select attainment' button next to their name to change the attained judgements for all the objectives.

If you had planned LNF/DCF objectives for the lesson, open the tab and select whether the pupils have attained the skill or not. Click 'Covered' and then deselect individuals to speed up the process.
Once you have completed all the changes, just click on 'Save' in the top left corner and close the tab at the top.
When you refresh your timetable page, you will see a tick over the lesson icon to show that the lesson attainments have been recorded.

You can also review all lessons you have recorded attainments by clicking on the lesson in the timetable The 'Taught' button will now say 'Review full screen' so that you can look back at the recorded attainments and edit if necessary.
