Once you have taught a lesson that you have planned a date and start time for, you can then record the lesson attainment.
On the screen that appears, you can choose whether you want to assess the whole class or any specific learning groups that you have created by selecting them.
The class/group will automatically have 'Attained' selected. By clicking on this, you can change the attainment for the whole class:
If the whole class was present and everyone had attained the objective, you can click on 'Save' and Maestro would record that attainment judgement for all children. However, if some children were absent for that lesson or didn’t fully attain the lesson objectives, click on 'Edit attainments' to load up the lesson’s attainment page.
All children are marked as 'Attained' for the objectives that were taught as part of the lesson. By clicking on the attained button at the top of each column, the attainment for the whole class may be changed for any of the objectives. For example, the pupils may not have attained the core knowledge, so by clicking at the top of a column, everyone's attainments can be changed at once.
The coloured circles will show what the children have attained on the last three occasions when they were taught this objective. If you click on the circles, you see a list of all the times that the objective has been taught, when it was taught and what the child attained.
However, individual pupils may be edited, if required, by clicking on the 'Select attainment' button next to their name to change the attained judgements for all the objectives.
Once you have completed all the changes, just click on 'Save' in the top left corner and close the tab at the top.
When you go back to the My lessons page, the 'Taught' button will now say 'Review' so that you can look back at the recorded attainments.
