The Memorable experiences map will help you find locations/venues that you can use for your own memorable experiences. All of the locations/venues have been suggested to us by teachers but you will need to visit the locations yourself to judge their suitability for your class and perform any risk assessments.
Using the map
The map will auto-centre with an orange pin on the location of your school.
The blue pins are the different locations/venues for memorable experiences. Each location/venue will show on the left-hand side of the screen and will have:
- A short description.
- A link to the website.
- 'Create event' button to quickly add the memorable experience to your timetable.
- Tags to give a simple overview of how it links to the curriculum.

To move the map around, simply click and drag the map to view the different locations.
- To zoom in/out, use the zoom buttons
- To re-centre the map, use the re-centre button

As each location/venue has a description tag and is assigned to a project, you can search for memorable experiences using the ‘Filter by project’ or ‘Filter by tag’ to focus in on specific types of memorable experiences.
When you click on a pin, the name of the location/venue will appear and the information about it on the left will be highlighted in blue. Alternatively, you can click on the information on the left-hand side and it will centre the map in onto the location/venue.
To add an experience to your timetable, click on the ‘Create event’ button, select your class and the date/time of the visit and then click Create.
Suggesting/reporting a place
In the top right, you can Suggest a place button if you feel that other schools will benefit from an experience. This will send an email to our support team to add the place to the map.
If a place is no longer available to visit, there is an error in the description or links, or they no longer offer the same services, you can use the Report a problem button on each experience to send a notification to our support team who can rectify the error, or remove the place from the map.
