Adding classes and pupils

Adding classes and pupils

If you want to add your pupils and classes to Maestro, you have 3 options that you can choose from. You can sync Maestro with your Management Information System (e.g. SIMS, RM Integris, ScholarPack), you can create classes and/or pupils manually, or we can import your pupil data for you using information from your MIS.

We have partnered with Wonde, who are currently used by over 21,000 schools across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and British international schools worldwide. Using Wonde enables you to connect and synchronise your Management Information System (MIS) to Maestro. Once the information is synced, your plans and assessment will have a live connection to classes and pupils.

NotesData security note: To comply with the GDPR and the Data Protection Act, Wonde provides the tools to ensure that schools are in complete control and have clarity of what data is being accessed by third parties. At Cornerstones, we only request the exact data from a school’s MIS that you need to use Maestro. There is also a range of optional permissions, which you can turn on/off depending on how you choose to use the system. Everything is audited, and your school can see details of the permissions granted, who approved them, their position in school and the date/time that they were approved at any time. You can also remove the connection at any time.

Setting up using Wonde

When you placed your order, your school will have been asked if you wanted to sync your data using Wonde. If so, the process below will already be in motion, and you should be able to see your classes and pupils soon.

If you have not yet had an invitation to set up Wonde, and wish to connect, please contact our Support Team by email at maestro@cornerstoneseducation.co.uk to request the connection.

Wonde provides the tools and audit procedures to ensure that schools are in complete control and have clarity of what data is being accessed by third parties. However, if you are adding pupils manually, you should ensure that you have a record of what data you are sharing with Cornerstones and why, and should make sure that data is reviewed and updated regularly, and removed when no longer required.
